School Visits

School TripsDuring your child’s time at St George’s, they are likely to go on many trips away from the school premises.
We think that these special experiences really bring learning to life and help to engage children in a way that simply can’t be achieved in the classroom.  We are fortunate to live in an area steeped in history and, where possible, endeavour to make use of this rich resource to excite and interest them in their learning and to create a real life context to learning.
VisitorsWe visit  Museums, Hands-on Educational Experiences, Historic Buildings and Science Centres to name but a few.

We also have Educational visitors come to us to, bringing with them extra knowledge and resources that extend our learning

Y6 Study Week

During Y6 the children take part in a residential visit to the coast of Wales. The activities undertaken there are carefully planned and form an important part of their geographical, historic, scientific and social education. The children find the visit an exciting, stimulating and memorable experience.
