Arrival & Access

Our school occupies a surprising large site, but it’s tucked away from the road and can be difficult to find for new-comers.
Our location makes travel and transport to both our school and Woodfield Infant school a unique challenge, so much so that we have written a Travel Plan policy that you can find on our Policies page

Everyday Access for Parents and Children

You can reach the school either by the footpath off Woodfield Road or through Woodfield Infant School off Copthorne Road. Please would you note that you and your child should not use the lane beside the tennis courts.

Cars gaining official access to the two schools make it very busy indeed in the early morning and the late afternoon, and therefore dangerous for pedestrians. We urge all parents who are driving their children to school to spare a minute to read our Park Safe Leaflet  and our Travel Plan Newsletter (please see links below) as road safety around our entrances is a very important issue.
The green gates off Woodfield Road are locked between 9.30am and 3.00pm for the safety of the children; should you need to come to the school during these times, please use Kelsalls Lane and enter the site via the school car park entrance.
 Park Safe

Bike Shelter

Y6 children may come to school on their bicycles and park them on the premises if they wish to do so. Please send a note if your child intends to make use of this facility. Y6 children may also participate in Cycling Safety classes, which are held in the Summer Term. All other children cycling to school must be accompanied by an adult.

There is no car park available for parents. We do have very limited parking available for staff and for visitors on official business which is accessed via Kelsalls lane.
