Friends of St George’s PPTA would like to welcome you to St George’s Junior School.
The new Friends of St George’s PPTA was set up in spring 2012, initially to provide a Summer Fair for the children, friends of families of St George’s; and since then, has grown from strength to strength, continuing to raise valuable funds for the School.
The Friends of St George’s PPTA provides the opportunity for Parents, Carers, Children and Teachers to get involved in fundraising for the School. This can be either helping to organise an event, run a stall, or by simply coming along to one of the functions. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and help contribute towards equipment and facilities to benefit your child or children during their time at St George’s Junior School. When your child starts at St George’s, as a parent or carer, you automatically become a member of the PPTA.
Meetings are usually held straight after school at 3.30pm to enable as many parents to come along as possible; it also provides the opportunity for the children to have their say in fundraising events and activities.
The school council are proactively involved in identifying where the money raised is best spent within school.
